Welcome to WeatherAlert! This free program will display the weather for your location, and alert you if the weather becomes severe or the temperatures get extreme.
All of this is fully customizable to suit your preferences.

Before you run WeatherAlert, you must ensure you have the .NET framework.
The .NET framework is an update provided by Microsoft that will power the programs of tomorrow.
I won't bore you with details but it provides an easy and secure platform for writing programs for Windows
that will run on any computer with the framework, regardless of what version of Windows it is running.
If you are using Windows XP you can obtain it from this link from Microsoft's site:

When you first start the program, you will be shown the Settings dialog; you must choose the location for which you wish to have the data displayed;
you can put in your City Name or if you reside in the US/Canada, your Zip/Postal code will also work.
After doing this, you should take a look through the rest of the settings so that you can set the program up the way you want.

WeatherAlert is always improving, adding new features and fixing problems.  For this reason there is an automatic program updater built into it;
you can run this whenever you want, but it will also run every few weeks.
It is recommended that you download the new version if it one exists, but you can choose not to. Sometimes it is necessary to update to adapt to changes
in the data WeatherAlert reads, so if things stop working, try updating.

I have done my best to make WeatherAlert problem free, but from time to time, a problem may occur.
If it does, the program will report the problem to me. By sending any error reports it helps me eradicate the problems that may occur.

WeatherAlert is completely free. It does not come with any adware or spyware; it is free with no strings attached.
I don't like spyware on my computer so I certainly wouldn't put it on anyone else's. Feel free to share the program with anyone you want.
Help it become the most popular weather program on the internet!
